INITIATIVE

YETI ORB is the first microphone at the $59 price point to incorporate LIGHTSYNC  with a custom condenser capsule. It leverages the Yeti legacy to offer entry-level gamers an upgrade path from headset mics with improved voice capture quality.

Offering to start streaming, engaging in

"Just Chatting" sessions, and enhancing

the quality of conversations.

ID DEVELOPMENT

- 102mm to 90mm // Reviews and user feedback indicate that the size of the current Snowball ICE is often perceived as bigger than expected. Reducing the diameter of the mic is part of the design explorations in visioning; the smaller sphere diameter also contributes to better sound quality in combination with the larger mesh area.

ENG DEVELOPMENT

- Worked closely with the ME team to develop a RGB solution and define split lines and draft angles for DFM. The ID was updated based on feedback.

CMF & UX DEVELOPMENT

- Alongside the engineering development, collaborated with the CMF team on fabric wrapping for the product and with the UX team on RGB status lighting.
